NurVerse Quran Academy (“NurVerse”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use nurversequran.com or take classes with us, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Trial and enrolment details you give us: name, email address, WhatsApp number, who is learning, course interest, teacher preference, preferred class time and your time zone.
- Class information: schedules, attendance, progress notes and — on plans that include them — class recordings.
- Website usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies), such as pages visited, device type and which ad brought you to us.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider.
How we use it
- To arrange your free trial, match you with a teacher and schedule classes.
- To contact you by WhatsApp or email about your classes, progress and billing.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
- To meet legal, tax and safeguarding obligations.
Our legal bases (UK/EU GDPR) are: taking steps to enter a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the academy, your consent for non-essential cookies, and legal obligation.
Children
Classes for children are booked by a parent or guardian, who provides the details. We collect only what we need to teach the child. Parents may sit in on any class, and may ask us at any time to see, correct or delete their child’s information. Class recordings are shared only with the parent or guardian.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Your assigned teacher and our scheduling coordinators.
- Service providers that help us operate: secure database hosting (Supabase), video classes (Zoom), messaging (WhatsApp), payments, and analytics/advertising (Google).
- Authorities, where required by law.
Cookies & advertising
We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how visitors use our site and to measure our ads. Visitors in the UK and European Economic Area see a cookie banner, and these cookies are only set if you accept (we use Google Consent Mode). You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the website footer. You can also opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
How long we keep it
Trial enquiries that don’t lead to enrolment are deleted within 12 months. Student records are kept while you study with us and for up to 3 years afterwards for accounting purposes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner where the law allows. Class recordings are kept for up to 90 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK/EU GDPR, Canada’s PIPEDA, Australia’s Privacy Act and US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email support@nurversequran.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is stored with encrypted connections and access controls, and only staff who need it can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
